Fitness to Test Policy
Our ‘Fitness to Test’ Policy means if a candidate attends their test, they are declaring themselves fit to take the test. Candidates should read this policy before booking the test.
Register for UCAT ANZ 2025
Registration for the UCAT ANZ is a two-step process of creating an account and booking a test, using the Pearson VUE registration system. Multiple accounts are not permitted. Please read the information on this page carefully before completing the registration process.
Returning candidates should book their test using their existing Pearson VUE account. Candidates are not permitted to have multiple accounts. Ensure your personal information in your account is up to date. Refer to the FAQs if you are having difficulties logging into your account.
Step one - Create an Account
New candidates must create a Pearson VUE account before they can book a test.
(Candidates with an existing account should refer to the statement above for returning candidates.)
Candidates must register their account personally – it cannot be done by a school/college. When you create an account you will need to provide the information requested here.
Register with your legal name exactly as it appears on the approved photo ID you intend to present at the test centre.
Accepted forms of ID are specified in our Photo ID Policy. If there is not an acceptable match, you may not be admitted to the test centre and will lose your test fee. Changes to your name on your account can be made by Pearson VUE Customer Services after seeing supporting ID.
The email address on your account will be used for all communication regarding the test. You must check your email address throughout the test cycle for correspondence related to your test sitting. The phone number(s) you provide may be used by Pearson VUE to contact you in some circumstances.
After creating your account, you will:
- receive an email from Pearson VUE containing your username. You can log in to your account using the username and password you set up at registration.
- be assigned a UCAT ANZ ID number (in the format ANZ12345678). The number is given in the top right corner of your account and should be used in all correspondence with Pearson VUE, the UCAT ANZ Office and in your university applications.
It can take up to 1 working day for Pearson VUE to set up your account.
Step two - Book your Test
After bookings open on 4 March, log in to your Pearson VUE account to book your test.
Please refer to these Booking Instructions to assist with booking your test (available in February).
Once you have successfully booked your test you will receive two confirmation emails:
- A booking confirmation email which contains your test appointment details. Your appointment will also be shown in your Pearson VUE account. If the appointment is not showing in your account and you have not received the booking confirmation email, then your booking has not been successfully completed.
- A payment confirmation email which is a receipt of the test fee.
It is your responsibility to ensure your booking is made successfully in advance of the booking deadlines. Claims of mitigating circumstances or technical errors affecting your ability to book by the deadlines will not be accepted.
- Bookings close on Friday 16 May at 11:59pm AEST.
- Late bookings are accepted until Friday 30 May at 11:59pm AEST and incur an additional fee of $85.
- Final late bookings are accepted until Friday 6 June at 11:59pm AEST and incur an additional fee of $185. No further bookings will be accepted after the final late booking deadline of 6 June (11:59pm AEST) under any circumstances.
Test Fees
The test fee is payable by major debit/credit card at the time of booking your test. The test fees are given here.
Test locations
The test is delivered in test centres in Australia, New Zealand and many overseas locations. See Test Locations for more information. Test centres and available dates are viewable in the booking system. It is strongly recommended to book a July test date.
Booking advice and appointment availability
We recommend booking your test early in the booking period. Once booking opens, you can check availability through your Pearson VUE account.
There will be fewer test dates to select from later in the booking window. If your preferred test location has reached capacity, you will need to book your test at another location and may have to travel further to the test centre. Appointments may become available at a test centre that has reached capacity as other candidates cancel or reschedule their test date.
You are strongly recommended to book a July test date. If you choose to book a late test date and then encounter illness or other issues which prevent you from attending your test appointment it will be difficult rescheduling or rebooking a test. There will be very few appointments available in the final weeks of testing, and in some locations there may be no appointments available.
