UCAT ANZ Examination Rules
During the check-in process you will be asked to read this information carefully before entering the test room. You will be asked to sign to confirm you understand the information provided and agree to follow the rules.
Exam Rules:
-
In attending the test, you are declaring yourself fit to sit the test. If you are not fit, you must reschedule to a later date, even if this means losing the test fee. If you choose to sit the test against this advice, it will not be considered as a mitigating circumstance.
-
You may only sit the test once in any test cycle. Instances of multiple testing in the same year will be treated as candidate misconduct, and all results will be cancelled.
-
Making noise that may disturb other candidates (including reading aloud) and verbal/non-verbal communication with other candidates is prohibited during the test.
-
No personal belongings are allowed in the testing room including jewellery.
-
If you need to take a break (for example, to take medication or to use the toilet), please raise your hand to notify the invigilator. The test cannot be paused, and you will lose test time while you are out of the testing room. You are advised to take any breaks between subtests to limit impact on test time.
-
You are not allowed to share or discuss the test content with others.
Problems during testing:
-
If you become ill, raise your hand to notify the invigilator. If you are not well enough to continue, ask the invigilator to end your test. You must then email medical documentation to the UCAT ANZ Office within 1 business day of your test. If you choose to continue testing, this will not be considered as a mitigating circumstance.
-
If you experience hardware/software problems, noise disturbances, or other distractions, raise your hand to notify the invigilator immediately so the matter can be addressed. If you do not raise the issue during your test, it will not be considered as a mitigating circumstance.
If the issue affects your test and you want it to be investigated, you must request an incident investigation within 1 day of sitting your test. The request should be submitted via the Incident Investigation Request Form on the UCAT ANZ website. Reporting an incident at the test centre does not automatically result in any follow-up action unless a candidate requests an investigation.
General test information:
-
To ensure a high level of security, you will be monitored at all times using CCTV and/or an in-room test administrator.
-
There may be limited disturbance as candidates arrive, leave or receive assistance from the staff.
-
You may request earplugs at the test centre if you wish. [However please check this list first. These test centres do not provide earplugs.]
-
You will be provided with a laminated notebook and two marker pens. You should check that your marker pens are working before commencing your test. Be sure to replace the cap immediately when you are not using the marker pens to prevent them from drying out. If you require a replacement marker pen, raise your pen in the air to notify the invigilator. If you require a replacement notebook, raise your hand.
-
During your test, you will have access to a simple on-screen calculator. You can operate the calculator with the mouse or the keyboard number pad. To use the keyboard number pad, the Num Lock (number lock) key must be turned on.
-
The invigilator cannot answer questions related to test content.
-
After completing the test, raise your hand. The invigilator will end your test and escort you from the testing room.
